Juan Carlos Prieto, is a Lawyer and a Public Notary graduated from la Universidad Rafael Landívar. He began his career at the Courts, where he had the opportunity to work on a great amount of judicial cases, and get to know the system.
Juan Carlos Prieto has worked on prestigious law firms, where he was responsible of judicial cases and strategy making to resolve complex problems. He now leads and coordinates the work of other lawyers on the follow up on legal cases.
He has been successful on complex cases on Civil, Trade, Tax, Administrative and Constitutional Law. He’s experienced in the following Civil procedures collective executions, bankruptcy competitions, and bankruptcy, as well on litigation in regard to State contracts, specifically oil operations. In his recent practice, he has given solution to litigation of business, about software and informatic programming, through arbitration at the most prestigious institutions of Guatemala, throughout methods of alternative dispute resolution.
